안녕하세요? 저는 포항에서 영신고등학교를 2004년도에 졸업하고, 현재는 건국대학교 서울캠퍼스에 재학중인 임현균 학생이라고 합니다. 아래의 메일은 제가 북포항 로터리 클럽에 권위있는 포럼인 HPAIR(Harvard Project For Asia and International Relations)에 참가 자격을 얻었으나, 학생이 가기에는 자금의 부담이 있어 이러한 사정을 남겨 봅니다.
실제로 HPAIR는 국내에서 2003년도 서울 코엑스에서 개최 되었으며, 전 김대중 대통령, 반기문 외교통상부장관, 노무현 대통령 등이 참가한 권위있는 포럼이며, 2005년도에는 일본,록봉기 힐에서 열립니다.
I’ve graduated from Pohang City Young Shin Highschool and I’m a full-time student in KonkukUniversity. The PohangCity is a place where I’m born and lived there for 20 years. I heard that Rotary Club is leading organization that supports student’s willingness to serve local society. Now I have been selected to attend the Harvard Project for Asian and International Relations conference to be held in Tokyo from August 22-25, 2005. The conference annually draws 450 students, selected through a rigorous process, representing over 80 countries across the world. Speakers are always renowned in their fields and have included scholars, heads of States, and business leaders. It will be a great opportunity for me to represent in this burgeoning event in the world.
As you can imagine, the costs of this opportunity – roughly $1025 – exceed the typical earnings of a college student. I thus write to you to ask for your support. Any type of support, whether it can be advice or a monetary contribution, would be warmly welcomed.
